The Ragpicker and Our Mission
The Ragpicker, Inc. was incorporated as a 501-c3 non-profit corporation on August 2, 2010. We are a growing program and will continue to evolve to meet the community’s needs. The Ragpicker Inc. was created to provide recovery solutions for the very real, modern dilemma of addiction.
OUR MISSION
The Ragpicker provides safe, clean and structured recovery houses, (pictured below) where addicts and alcoholics seeking recovery can learn to live and function without the use of drugs or alcohol. The Ragpicker’s home-like family settings provide a support group that nurtures feelings of belonging that many addicts have lost because of their addiction.
The mission of the Ragpicker is to help break the cycle of drug and alcohol addiction in the Baltimore Metropolitan region by providing safe, structured and clean recovery houses for addicts and alcoholics in need of support.
Participants will receive room, board, therapy, and counseling to assist them in becoming productive and contributing members of society. The Ragpicker envisions having recovery facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region (Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, DC).
